The Dartmouth Heritage Preservation Trust, Inc, was founded in March 2007 to preserve remnants of Dartmouth's rich past and educate the public as to the importance of their town's heritage. A board of directors and volunteers govern and manage this small grass roots organization.

To preserve our heritage from the foundation up.
Our Purpose
- Preserve and safeguard the region’s history and heritage through education, advocacy and partnerships for the benefit of all.
- Provide leadership and/or support preservation projects through the development and delivery of programs for the use and benefit of the community, and through the use of preservation tools and techniques.
- To continue the protection and preservation work of the 1762 Elihu Akin House at 762 Dartmouth Street, Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
Card To Culture
We are proud to participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, by breaking down the financial barriers to cultural programming.
